Center for Entrepreneurship Development (Tamil Nadu) was originally established
as an autonomous institution of Madurai Kamaraj University and later de-linked
to function as an independent state level approved Entrepreneurship Development
Institution recognized by Government of India and Government of Tamil
Nadu. Dr. R. Jayaraman, Coordinator, School of Business Studies, Madurai
Kamaraj University is the Member Secretary of CED (Tamil Nadu).

Established
in the year 1966, Madurai Kamaraj University has developed into one of the
best Universities in India. Our campus is on a 750-acre attractive site,
adjoining the Nagamalai hills, about 13 kilometers away from Madurai city
. We are one of the largest distance education providers with about 130,000
students studying from their home or workplace throughout India and abroad.
We relentlessly strive hard to provide distance education students with
the same quality of education and facilities as it is done for our on-campus
students.
The Tamilnadu
Chamber of Commerce & Industry was established in the year 1924 at
Madurai with just 24 members with the primary object of serving the cause
of Trade and Industry. Over these years, it has steadily grown in strength
and has diversified its services and activities. The present membership
strength of the Chamber is around 6500 with more than 350 small Chambers
and Trade Associations affiliated to it. By far, it is now the largest
Chamber in India.
